UllPotta is a research project we started early in the establishment of Woolero. We wanted to explore how wool can be shaped and used in new ways - far from the traditional, but with its natural properties intact.

The result is a 100% renewable and biodegradable plant pot with wool as the main component. The pot can be planted directly in the soil, where it decomposes and provides a fertilizing effect.

With our wool pots, we aim to offer nurseries and hobby growers a sustainable alternative to plastic and peat pots, which are currently the norm in plant production. In Europe, almost 5 billion plastic pots are used annually, of which only 5% are recycled and many end up in nature.

After several years of development and testing, we have finally managed to create a material that can be molded almost identically to plastic. By utilizing existing machinery adapted for plastic production, we are now starting production - and we look forward to offering the pots to both small and large players in the years to come!
Hobby growers can now get the pots on our website. The product is still under development, so all feedback on how it works for you is very valuable to us - and we hope you will take the time to share your experience with us here on chat or at hello@woolero.com.
