Last week, we had the pleasure of taking home first prize in Innovate for Better; an innovation competition established by Equinor in collaboration with NTNU.
The competition brings together students in Trondheim who are working on ideas, projects, or startups that contribute to positive change. This year's competition featured several exciting projects, and we at Woolero had the opportunity to present how we work to utilize wool as a resource for sustainable products and solutions in agriculture.
The jury justified the first place as follows:“The jury was impressed by the combination of strong sustainability impact and a very professional pitch. The business model was highlighted as scalable, the product as easy to implement in existing production infrastructure – and the concept as mature and ready for further growth.”
For us, this is a very motivating recognition of the work we do. Woolero is about creating more value from a natural resource that Norway already has in abundance, through solutions that can be implemented in existing production and scaled further.
This victory gives us extra energy for the time ahead. We will now continue our work to develop the product, test solutions, and build on what we believe can become a new and more sustainable way to use wool. We look forward to sharing more soon 🐑!
